Study Tour 2017
GRO Networking were thrilled to be part of the recent Garden Retail Success Study Tour 2017.
Tim Blake, the creative director for Gro Creative arrived in Canberra on late on Monday March 6th to a cool clear day. Timing was perfect for some great sunset shots over the Australia War Museum through to Parliament House.
The next day was spend at Yass, about one hour out of our nation’s capital finalising a new website design for a client before returning to Canberra and beginning welcome the early arrivals that had begun to arrive from different parts of NZ and different states of Australia and the adventure is beginning.
By 10 am the following morning all 31 delegates had arrived and were enjoying a wander down Beltana Road in the suburb of Pialligo. Canberra being such an extremely organised city, most of this street is made up of garden centres and the track was made the end of the street to meet up at Rodney’s Garden Centre. Over the next few days we would visit some fabulous garden centres including Yass Plants, Tim’s Garden Centre, Garden Life and Honeysuckle. These were all very differently inspiring garden retailers. We also enjoyed a wonderful couple of hours at the The Grounds of Alexandra. This is a collection of eateries with very much a horticulture theme. An extremely cool and popular place to be thrilled and inspired and well fed.
We finished the day with a dinner cruise around the beautiful Sydney Harbour. Great food – great company and great views.
Everyone was reasonably bright the next morning as we began our day of workshops. This was very focused on equipping delegates with the latest information on maximising digital marketing. Topics covered included e-mail marketing, maintaining a web page that works for the business and affordable external marketing strategies.
We completed an action filled few days together sharing ideas, information, fellowship and inspiration. This was a fantastic time of networking and a huge thank you Garden Retail Success for including Gro Networking in your very successful Study Tour.
